With 1 year in the books for Cora's Helping Hands and an amazing turnout for the Back 2 School Bash that included the showcase and check disbursement for the 1st Class of 2021 for the James G. Terry Scholarship recipients at the Young Men's Educational Network on Chicago's West Side.

Despite the uncertainty of how you may receive your college classes online or in-person this upcoming Fall, The 1st Class of 2021 for the James G. Terry Scholarship recipients showed up with Founder & CEO of Cora's Helping Hands, Shanta Hogan-Walker as they accepted their scholarship award at the 2nd Annual Back 2 School Bash on Chicago's West Side.

Onsite donors and volunters help pack and stuff bookbags filled with school supplies for the upcoming school year to local Chicago North Lawndale families.

donors lend a hand to cora

When you are taken by surprise at the overwhelming response to your efforts and passion for people. Meet this year's surprise Donors at the Back 2 School Bash. Ahmed Mohsin and Mohamed Obadi are owners and operators of the local and nearby West Town Shell Gas Station located on Chicago's west side, Pulaski and Roosevelt. They not only came to check out the event but they also stayed helped pass out and stuff book bags for students but then gave a generous donation for the cause. Thank You West Town Shell for your support and lending a Hand to Cora's Helping Hands. This isn't the last we hear of them, I'm sure.

This is the 2nd Annual Back 2 School Bash for the organization, as they celebrate 1 year of operating as a 501c3. The vision and mission become clearer and more relevant when you come into contact with those it's directly helping.
